Weekend to weekend tour to Germany, based at Hotel zum Moseltal, Mehring (on the River Mosel) Saturday 8th to Sunday 16th April 2017
Daily ride schedule
Saturday ~ from home to Hull, leaving McD’s Bramley at 1500, ferry departs at 1830
Sunday ~ from Zeebrugge via Ardennes to Mehring
Monday ~ circular tour via Saarland
Tuesday ~ circular tour in the Rhineland-Palatinate
Wednesday ~ circular tour via the Rhine gorge
Thursday ~ circular tour via the Nuerburgring
Friday ~ circular tour via Luxemburg
Saturday ~ from Mehring via Eifel to Rotterdam (Europoort)
Sunday ~ from Hull to home, arriving in Hull at approx. 0830 on Sunday 16th April (Easter Sunday).
It’s about 240 miles from Zeebrugge to Mehring and 260 miles from Mehring to Rotterdam. Each circular tour is about 160 miles long, so there will be plenty of time for us to take photos, and have coffee, lunch and tea.
The ferry crossings, if booked today (30/10/16) at the Saver rate, would cost £137.88 each way. That’s for one bike, and one person in one cabin. You can make the crossings a lot cheaper, if you arrange to share a cabin. Please make your own ferry bookings, remembering that on 8th April we’re going on the Hull-Zeebrugge service and on 15th April we sail home on the Rotterdam-Hull service.

They have a large and a small garage and room under cover at the back – easily enough for ten bikes and probably more, depending on how people park up.
Rooms are available on a first-come-first-served basis, and not just to people in our group, so if you’re interested, I’d advise you to book very soon. If you wish to keep costs to a minimum, you may wish to make an arrangement with another person or persons to share a twin or family room. Please contact the hotel yourself to make a booking. Details are on its contact page. The owner, Frau Bach, can take your booking in English, whether on-line or by phone.
When you’ve made your ferry and hotel bookings, please tell me by email at firstname.lastname@example.org that you have done so and I’ll keep publishing an up-to-date list of participants on our RAM riders Facebook group and on RAM’s website.
